Summary

  • Blueshark has partnered with Klean the World to supply four of its R1 smart electric scooters to Klean’s operations team, to support collection and servicing of Klean’s reverse‑vending machines.
  • The R1 scooters use both Malaysia’s first commercially available battery‑swap infrastructure and standard wall‑socket charging, and they integrate with an Internet of Vehicles (IoV) system to stream ride, performance and battery data to support fleet‑management.
  • The collaboration is positioned as a tangible example of circular‑economy logistics: Klean handles bottle/can‑recycling via its machines, while Blueshark supplies electric mobility for last‑mile connectivity in the same eco‑system.
Blueshark, a subsidiary of Sharkgulf Technologies Group collaborates with Klean the World to render sustainable and convenient mobility. Said partnership will also aid in the management of Klean’s reverse vending machine inventory. Four Blueshark R1 smart electric scooters were allocated for the said initiative.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Klean the World to provide our Blueshark R1 smart electric scooters to their operations team. Klean the World is a company that shares our values of sustainability and environmental responsibility. Blueshark’s first-to-last mile sustainable e-mobility ecosystem will enable Klean’s employees to reduce their carbon footprint and live healthier lives as they enable greener living for others. This collaboration is a fine example of zero emissions and zero waste ingenuity in practice for the greater good,”said Jin Chan, Group COO (ASEAN), Blueshark Ecosystem Sdn Bhd.
Klean the World is a company that provides innovative solutions to the global waste crisis. The company operates reverse vending machines that collect plastic bottles and cans in exchange for rewards. These materials are then recycled into r-PET (recycled PET) by the company’s recycling partners.

“We are excited to be adding Blueshark e-bikes to our fleet of vehicles. Our operations team is responsible for collecting and transporting materials from our reverse vending machines to our recycling partners as well as servicing and taking care of our growing network of machines. Integrating e-mobility ties in with our practice of a circular economy, enabling us to electrify our last-mile connectivity and just makes sense given what we do at Klean. Blueshark’s R1 e-motorcycles will help our team do their jobs more efficiently and sustainably while tapping into Blueshark’s Internet of Vehicles for better fleet management,”said Dato’ Nick Boden, CEO and Co-founder of Klean the World.
Blueshark’s R1 smart electric scooters can access Malaysia’s first commercially available battery swap infrastructure. Moreover, the scooters can be recharged to any standard wall socket. Such makes them ideal for urban commuting and fleet operations.
Meanwhile, with Blueshark’s Internet of Vehicles (IoV) app-to-bike connectivity, data is constantly being streamed between its vehicles and backend servers. This allows fleet customers to monitor and track their vehicles and essential data such as performance metrics, ride history, vehicle condition, performance, and battery range seamlessly and instantly.
