AutoStore is set to expand in Asia by the first quarter of 2025 with a new multi-temperate solution

Summary

  • AutoStore will expand its footprint in Asia by early 2025 with the launch of its new Multi-Temperature Solution, designed to serve grocers and distributors requiring frozen, chilled, and ambient storage in one system. The technology minimizes energy consumption and manual handling by integrating temperature control within a single cube, improving safety and efficiency in food logistics.
  • The new solution will be available for order in Korea and other Asian markets in the first quarter of 2025 as part of AutoStore’s global rollout. It enables items to be retrieved in chilled zones without exposing workers to sub-zero conditions, offering a major breakthrough for temperature-sensitive supply chains.
  • In addition, AutoStore is introducing an 18-level grid that expands storage density and a Motorized Service Vehicle to enhance system safety and reliability. These innovations underscore AutoStore’s continued focus on automation excellence and operational efficiency across Asia’s fast-growing logistics and retail sectors.
0Singapore – September 16, 2024 – AutoStore, a leader in automated storage systems, is set to expand its presence in Asia by the first quarter of 2025, introducing a range of new grid capabilities.
“We continue to lead in automated fulfillment, innovating technology to tackle complex operational challenges.” AutoStore CPO Parth Joshi added. “We’re particularly proud to introduce the Multi-Temperature Solution, which will be a game-changer for grocers and open new use cases for AutoStore”

In an email to Value Chain Asia, AutoStore confirmed that Korea and the rest of the Asian markets can expect to order the Multi-Temperate Solution starting in the first quarter of 2025. This is aligned with the company’s global rollout of its products. The Multi-Temperature Solution features frozen, chilled and ambient storage within a single cube. The cuber offers modular storage solutions tailored to specific temperature needs. It caters to grocery retailers and distribution companies requiring precise temperatures for their products. It also reduces manual handling and enhances energy efficiency. It does this by minimizing open-door times and energy consumption associated with maintaining multiple temperature zones in traditional warehouses. This enables workers to retrieve items without the risk of sub-zero temperatures. Chilled and frozen food stored in the cubes will be delivered to warehouse workers in a chilled area.
“AutoStore is shifting to a regular cadence of product announcements, focusing on innovation and execution to better serve our customers. This fall, our new products directly address the challenges our customers face, while providing them with new tools to improve operational efficiency”, said AutoStore CEO Mats Hovland Vikse.
